You are all awesome

Papa , thank you for supporting us all the time and that you could make it to the wedding even though you had worked the night before and with no sleep you still flew in from Germany. Thank you for the amazing toast and incredible presents from you, Grossi and Opa. Thank you for making our day and just being there. 

Linda thank you for bringing the basket with all the little sweets you brought, we still nibble on it. Thank you for the bridal dress and being with us on that special day.

Fernando thank you for cooking, you rescued the whole wedding. When we couldn't find a caterer, you told us immediately you would cook for us. Thank you for having the stress of thinking about the food, suggesting meals, going to check the prices and actually buying all the stuff. Thank you for cooking till late in the night and for getting up early in the morning to get it all done. Thank you for providing all the kitchen utilities, transport container and for being the chef in the kitchen.

Pastor Shaun thank you for blessing our marriage. We had the pleasure of spending time with you, the Sundays before the wedding. Thanks for the awesome word, it was very personal tailor made for us and we really appreciate it. 

Helen and Emmanuel thank you for the drinks and the ice to cool them. Thank you also for the wine and for being there with us and helping during the event with the organisation and the cleaning up.

Simon thank you for the support you gave us, especially Sascha as his best man. Thank you for rescuing the day with taking the forgotten cake from home and for witnessing officially our marriage. You couldn't recite the toast you had prepared, so we want to at least make the toast public, here it is:

 I’m Simon White, Sascha’s friend and I’ve been given the honor of being his best man. I’d like to start by saying thanks to you all for coming, and thanks for inviting us all; we’re delighted to be here on this special occasion. I met Sascha and Eva earlier this year at Vanesse’s birthday do, after that at the Big Breakfast event, again at the Chinese Dinner and once more at the German Dinner, all arranged by Sascha and friends, it’s safe to say he’s been keeping us well fed. It’s been a very short time since February hastened by the uni workload, but I’m very glad to have met them, certainly without the most excellent Big Breakfast I’d never have met my beautiful girlfriend Joyee, or a number of other good friends. Sascha and Eva are both wonderful people, kind and generous, funny, intelligent, and also adventurous; Eva now has the interesting task of learning to speak German, while they've both successfully passed the always-scary task of meeting the parents. What they were like apart I can’t say, unfortunately for me I haven’t known them long enough, but I can say without reserve that together they make a beautiful couple. Congratulations to you both. May all your hopes and dreams come true, and the memory of this day grow dearer with each passing year.

Amara thank you for being at our wedding and being happy with us even though your bag got stolen. Thank you for reading the poem so beautifully and signing the register spontaneously.

Samuella thank you for all the inputs you made during the preparation period and on a lighter note for livening the place up with your radiant colours and cheerful personality and for handling all the leftovers.

Kendra and Sophie thank you for helping with the organisation of our wedding and for letting the decorator in the evening before. Thank you for letting us use the hall longer as we anticipated and thank you for helping Fernando.

Fabian, Claudia, Joachim, Dominik und Sebastian Sascha's German Friends. Thank you for attending the wedding and for all the presents. We didn't think you can make it, we were even happier when you told us you will attend.

Michael, Rashmi, Kavya, Garazi, Ling Ling and Moose our UEL friends, thank you for coming and enriching this special day for us. Thank you for all the presents and Moose, thank you for being the DJ during the ceremony.

Eunice thank you for making the announcements for the program points and thank you for spreading your good mood. Thank you for the presence and for the help you gave us.

Arne, Josephine and Olaf thank you for coming all the way from Norway to attend our wedding. Thank you for showing the people how nice a couple can look in an African Partner dress. Takk for at du er der. Thank you Olaf for being such a cute boy. 

Seli and Ibukun thank you for coming to our wedding and thank you for reading the poem. Thank you for the presents and for all the nice moments.

Pastor Fodjour thank you for honouring our invitation and for bringing the whole crew from Bulford with you. Thank you also for the nice prophesy you declared during the cake cutting time.

All the others who didn't attend, we missed your presence very and know that you have loved to be there if it wasn't for situations beyond your control. Thank you.
